Barbecue calculator with shareable shopping lists. I designed, built and published the website and Android app, with over 100K downloads on Google Play.
The project
Free barbecue calculator available on the web and on Google Play (listed in English as Go BBQ!). Users enter how many men, women and kids are attending, choose meats and drinks, set the duration, and receive a ready to share shopping list covering meat, beer, charcoal and ice.
Alongside the interactive calculator (built on a clear baseline of 400 g of meat per man, 300 g per woman and 200 g per child), the web site publishes ready shopping lists for 10 to 100 guests, practical guides and recipes optimized for organic search.
Originally launched with Ionic in 2021 and rewritten in Flutter in 2022, the Android app reached version 7.0.0 in October 2026 and passed 100K+ installs with a 4.8 star rating on Google Play.
